The short version
This is a personal portfolio, not a service with accounts. It has no login, no shopping, and no advertising. Two things involve your data at all: an analytics tool that measures how the pages are used, and a contact form you can choose to fill in. Nothing here is sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
Analytics
The site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are read: which sections people reach, where they stop, and whether links work as intended. Clarity records page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and an anonymised replay of interactions such as scrolling and clicks. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise a returning session.
Clarity is configured to mask text input, so anything typed into the contact form is not captured in a replay. The data is processed by Microsoft as the provider and is retained on their standard schedule. If you would rather not be measured, browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop the script from loading, and the site works normally without it.
Links shared for a specific application may carry a ?ref= label, for example
?ref=example-co. It records which posting or message a visit came from. The
label is kept in your browser’s session storage so it survives clicks within the
site, and it is discarded when you close the tab. It contains no information
about you.
The contact form
If you use the form on the contact page, you choose what to send: your name, an email address or handle, a reason for writing, and your message. Sending it delivers your message to my inbox by email, and sends a copy of my resume to the address you gave, so you keep it.
Delivery is handled by Resend, an email provider, which processes the message in order to send it and keeps a delivery log. The message then lives in my email account, the same as any other correspondence. There is no database behind this site and no submission is stored on the server itself. I use what you send to reply to you; I do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
A hidden field in the form catches automated submissions. If you are a person filling in the form normally, it never sees anything.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operational reasons. Fonts, images and other assets are served from the same domain, so loading a page does not call out to third parties beyond the analytics script described above.
What is not collected
No accounts, no passwords, no payment details. No advertising or cross-site tracking pixels. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers. The site does not ask for, and has no use for, sensitive personal information.
Your choices
You can read the entire site without sending anything: the form is optional and analytics can be blocked. If you have written to me and would like the correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it from my mailbox and from the provider’s log. If you would like to know what I hold about you, ask and I will tell you; realistically it is the email you sent and my reply.
